Questa scherzosa e divertente musica commenta 3 immagini di Cagliari, la città vista dal Ponte della Playa, Monte Urpinu di notte e il porto di Marina Piccola durante l’estate. Pasini scrisse questa Sonata quando lavorava con l’Orchestra del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. Lì fece la sua conoscenza con questo colorito strumento e le sue possibilità tecniche e ne rimase affascinato. In esso si trovano le attrazioni di Cagliari che Pasini ha descritto con parole sue in un interessante scritto.
In seguito la revisione di questo pezzo è stata curata dal fagottista Ivan Calestani, rendendola più appropriata all’espressività di questo strumento.
Il pedale per il pianoforte non è segnato ma il suo uso è lasciato alla sensibilità dell’esecutore.

This playfull and amusing music annotates 3 views of Cagliari , the city from the Playa bridge, Monte Urpinu in the night and the port of Marina Piccola in summer. Pasini wrote this Sonata during his work with Sinfonic Orchestra of Cagliari’s Theatre. There he dipeened the kowledge of this colorful instrument and tecnic possibilities and was  spellbound by it. Into is  you can find all sights of Cagliari wich Pasini described with his words in an interesting piece of writing. Later on  the bassonist Ivan Calestani realized a revision of this piece pointing out  important characteristics of this instrument.The Autor didn’t sign the pedal for the piano. Everyone is free to use it according to the personal sensibility.
