Questo brano è stato composto in occasione dell’inaugurazione dell’organo antico di Cressa (Mentasti 1876). Scritto nello stile del “Tema e variazioni” mette in risalto le differenti caratteristiche foniche dello strumento.
Il “tema” è una melodia semplice e orecchiabile nello stile del Corale  alla quale fanno seguito otto variazioni. Esso si conclude con la riproposizione del tema iniziale in un “tutti” dell’organo.
In un secondo tempo l’Autore ha fatto questa versione per clavicembalo o pianoforte.

This music was written in occasion of inauguration of  the ancient organ of Cressa (Mentasti 1876). It is a “Tema e variazioni” with possibilities to show off different phonic characteristics of the instrument . The “Tema” is a simple and an easy time, a  Choral with eight variations. At the end the “Tema” with a strong sonority of the organ (Tutti).
Sub sequently the Author  transcripted this piece for harpischord or piano.
